First of all, I would like to say, Happy new year! Although 2009 is over, we have bigger and better things for 2010.

Thanks to everybody who came out for the FBLA Regional Competitive Events to help. If you enjoyed that, you can always volunteer to help out at the FBLA State Leadership Conference. I’ll bring that up later again!

For now, lets focus on OUR PBL State Leadership Conference. It will take place on February 27th 2010. It will be packed with a great speaker, great workshops and you will meet people from all over the State! Information for States will go out to all the local chapters shortly.

Once again, if your chapter is doing something crazy and we don’t know about it, please send any of the officers a shout out and we will definitely showcase it on our website.

Till then,

Take care New Jersey!

New Jersey State President

Let’s go back to October. On October 22nd, New Jersey hosted its State Fall Leadership Conference. We had a great turnout with over 70 FBLA-PBL Chapters. A big shout-out to Stevens Institute of Technology for coming through! PBL State Officers held a workshop at the event where we discussed the bridge between highschool and college and what to expect from freshman year in college.

National Fall Leadership Conference – Baltimore, MD
November 6-7, 2009

About two weeks ago, NJ PBL showed why it is ‘Simply the Best’ in the nation! We had over 25 PBL members representing the Garden State from Hoboken to Ocean! We had members from Stevens, Rutgers University and Ocean County College all gather up to listen to the exciting keynote speakers as well as learn valuable information at workshops. Not only that, but NJ PBL members bonded with one another as well as with PBL members from all over the Eastern Region. It was a successful conference and we showed why we are the #1 State in the country!

Committees

Now on to some serious business. Our state committees are up. Please take a look Here . I encourage each chapter to market these committees to their members. It is a great way to get involved and gain some valuable experience along the way!

That’s it from me for now. I hope you are all having a great semester! I will be in touch soon.

Take care New Jersey!

Greetings Members and Advisors!

Welcome back to another year of Phi Beta Lambda! We hope you had a great summer and are ready to start this year off with excellence by ‘tuning into success’ into another action-packed year!

Our past year was very successful where we had more than a 60% increase in our state membership that got us preferred seating at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. We returned back to the Garden State by placing 2nd in the State Chapter Annual Business Report and with eight of our members placing in the top 10 for their competitions.

But, it doesn’t stop here! The 2009-2010 State Officer Team has continued to work throughout the summer and through this semester to make sure NJPBL grows and it’s membership benefits the most out of the organization and take their role as Future Business Leaders! NJPBL will have different leadership opportunities, events and exciting new features as this year unfolds further.

I hope you all have had a great start to the new semester and wish you all the very best! If there are any questions, feel free to email me at: PBLPresident@njfbla.org.

Take care New Jersey!

Usman Ahmed
